Period
Sem. 1B dal Nov 11, 2019 al Jan 11, 2020.
Learning outcomes
The second module re-proposes the examination and critical discussion of some fundamental concepts of philosophy. The analysis will be properly theoretical, beyond the historical references. The comparison with the texts will therefore require the ability to deepen the issues dealt with on a more general level.
Program
Prerequisites: it is advisable to attend also the course of the History of Philosophy I, during the first semester.
Content of the Second Module: The problem of knowledge in the pure gnoseology of Giuseppe Zamboni. What is the difference between sensory knowledge and intellectual knowledge? How can we justify our metaphysical statements? what reference of experience can our moral action have? These and other fundamental issues will be discussed in this second part of the course.
Reference Texts: 1) G. Zamboni, Sistema di gnoseologia e di morale, QuiEdit, Verona 2019. 2) F. Marcolungo, La realtà e l'io in Giuseppe Zamboni, QuiEdit, Verona 2016. Every indication will be provided to the students during the course and will be online available at the e-learning section of the University of Verona website, where any further deepening texts and teaching materials will be indicated.

Examination Methods
Teaching methods
The teaching methods consist of lectures dedicated to the problem of knowledge, in the wake of the text by Giuseppe Zamboni, aimed at transmitting basic historical-conceptual notions in terms of theoretical philosophy in general, as well as fundamental critical tools for understanding and tackling the problematic nuclei related to modern and contemporary philosophy. Frontal lessons also make use of power point presentations for the general bio-bibliographical introductory part, so as to make learning clearer and more immediate. Each lesson is recorded in MP3 format and will be punctually loaded on the University's e-learning platform, so as to facilitate study / review both for attending students and for those who could not attend. During the whole academic year, the individual reception service is also available at the teacher's office, at the times indicated on the web pages and promptly updated.
Examination procedure
The assessment of the learning outcomes of the fundamental concepts and problematic nuclei of Giuseppe Zamboni's thought addressed during the lessons will take place through an oral test concerning the program carried out. This test will consist of questions designed to test students' critical-argumentative capacity, conceptual clarity and the acquisition of an adequate philosophical lexicon. The vote is expressed in thirtieths. The examination procedures are identical for attending and non-attending students.
