Learning outcomes
Knwolegde in sources, tools, methodologies for the reconstruction of the ancient landscape. Special attention shall be dedicated to roads organisation, rural and urban settlement of Roman age.
Program
The first part of the course will deal with general issues, such as: meaning of the historical topography; tools and methodologies for the studies and reconstruction of the ancient landscape and settlement transformation. Special attention shall be dedicated to Roman roads, centuriation, rural settlement, towns and villages. In the second part of the course the same issues will be deepened about the X regio.
