Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
Module: I MODULO PARTE (I)

To educate students to the complexity of the relationship between man and environment, and outline the role of the territory in the production of sustainability.
The attention will be focus on the environmental problem and will be discussed the issues on self-sustainability, combining them with the role played by local communities, both in the developed countries than in developing ones.

Module: I MODULO PARTE (I)

Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of Geography.
Contents of the course:
Environment and landscape in the geographical tradition; definition of the concepts; the relationship between man and environment; environmental protection; natural and humanized environment; sustainable development; the geographical landscape; the representation and interpretation of the landscape, case sudies.
Text books:
For the students attending, besides lecture notes and material provided by the professor, the following texts:
TURRI E., Il paesaggio degli uomini: la natura, la cultura, la storia, Bologna, Zanichelli, 2003.
TOSCO C., Il paesaggio come storia, Il Mulino, Bologna, 2007.
TINACCI MOSSELLO M., Politica dell’ambiente. Analisi, azioni, progetti, Il Mulino, Bologna, 2008.
LEMMI E., Dallo “spazio consumato” ai luoghi ritrovati, Angeli, Milano, 2009.
For students not attending an interview with the professor is necessary in order to agree the program.
N.B., Photocopies are not allowed to the exams.
