Learning outcomes

An orientation about the place of the voice experience within contemporary philosophy and lacanian psychoanalysis.

Program

Subject, voice, immanence.

Voice is the subject of this year's course. It is a central question in contemporary philosophy, a question philosophy approaches with the decisive help of other disciplines such as psychoanalysis, anthropology, musicology. We will examine some aspects of this sweeping landscape and Jacques Lacan will provide us a key reference, his theory of voice enabling a radical interrogation about the experiences of subjectivity, body, and immanence.
