Learning outcomes
the course aims at providing critical and methodological tools for reading and discussing texts related to political philosophy, subjectivity and the definition of the human.
Program
In order to highlight Hannah Arendt's political thought originality, the course focuses on her interpretation of Socrates, assumed as an exemplary figure to resist both 'radical evil' and the 'banality of evil'. Besides, the course compares Arendt's and Michel Foucault's philosophical positions on this issue.
