Learning objectives
Didactical Methods of Teaching Philosophy: We aim at acquiring cognitive and hermeneutical competencies: a) about the most prominent discussions, within the Western history of philosophy, on teaching philosophy and ‘making philosophy’ with others; b) about the recent Italian debates on teaching philosophy, with reference to demands of philosophical education also in extra-scholastic contexts, with proper distinctions of recipients, philosophical demands and didactical contexts; c) about documents and and different ways useful for teaching philosophy. We will also try to encourage students' seminar as well, in order to improve students’ skills to organise real lessons on the on topics chosen by the students themselves.

Program
Teaching Philosophy According to Henri Bergson and Maria Zambrano. Starting from the philosophical reflections of Henri Bergson and Maria Zambrano, the course will investigate concepts and images useful for thinking about the teaching of philosophy. Some texts by the two philosophers dedicated to teaching will be examined to understand what happens in the classroom, when philosophy is taught, and to discover what links the teacher to the subject he teaches. Towards the end of the course, a laboratory lesson will be organized in which it will be proposed to set up, individually or in a group, a lesson proposing texts taken from the history of Western thought. All the texts will be provided by the teacher during the course: - The texts by Maria Zambrano are «The Two Questions», «Communication between the Senses», «Life in the Classrooms», «An Arab Parable». The texts are taken from Maria Zambrano, Per l’amore e per la libertà. Scritti sulla filosofia e sull’educazione, a cura di A. Buttarelli, Marietti, Bologna 2021. - Henri Bergson's texts are: «Specialization», «Potesse», «Common sense and classical studies», «Intelligence». They are taken from M.T. Russo, Henri Bergson educatore. Virtù intellettuali, insegnamento, saperi umanistici, Armando Editore, Roma 2021, pp. 132-162.
