Learning outcomes

The organic chemistry laboratory is finalized to the manipulation and the acquisition of the basic operation in organic chemistry, mainly related to the purification of organic compounds. Students will also perform simple organic reactions to verify the reaction mechanisms acquired during the theoretical course.
Attention will be dedicated to the resolution of organic chemistry exercises.

Program

Lab (2 credits)
1) Purification via crystallization
2) Purification employing separation techniques
3) separation of mixtures on the basis of acid and basic properties of organic compounds

Organic Chemistry problems (1 credit)

Examination Methods

Students should pass a written examination aimed at verifying the knowledge of the basic concepts of general, inorganic and organic chemistry applied to the resolution of practical exercises.
