Program
The nature and use of materials and technologies used in dentistry through an exposition of the chemical structure and physical characteristics of the materials. The indications for use and manipulation of the materials will also be explained with a particular interest in the development of the most innovative technologies. Provide knowledge of dental occlusion, masticatory function and physiopathology of the stomatognathic system. Make the student understand the functions of the masticatory system: Horizontal intermaxillary relationships. Vertical intermaxillary relationships. Occlusal curves and planes. Mandibular movements. Types of functional occlusion. Articulators. Impressions and study models. Laboratory production of fixed prostheses. Removable partial prostheses. Principles of total prosthesis and construction and laboratory phases. Laws that regulate the professional figures of dentists and dental technicians.
