Learning outcomes
Aims
The course aims to help students being able to choose, read, understand and reformulate scientific information regarding studies, research and evidence for their education and practice.
One of the activities being carried out relies on the skill to actively read an article, detecting at first sight important information, such as the aim of a study, the method, the results, the conclusion, the design of a study, the background and relative literature review on the topic.
The course give the students the skills to read effectively in order to be able to share the outcomes of research in the form of abstract, speech, poster and report.
Grammar structure and specific glossary will be dealt with during the lessons
Examination Methods
La prova di esame prevede la presentazione di gruppo di un lavoro di analisi e ricerca EBP in lingua inglese con poster, abstract e materiale di supporto. Il lavoro presentato dagli studenti avrà anche una parte dedicata al glossario scientifico con lemmi e fonti completi di definizioni per acquisire maggiore sicurezza nella ricerca e nella resa in lingua italiana di terminologia del settore. La valutazione prevede anche la creazione di un Grammar Corner durante il quale gli studenti scelgono paragrafi tratti dagli articoli e li traducono con esercizi di analisi logica e grammaticale.
