Learning outcomes

Knowledge
The course aims at providing the fundamental concepts of Forensic Medicine useful in the practice of midewifery

Skills
The goal is the formation of the ability of independent analysis in the evaluation of forensic medicine problems in the practice of midewifery and the capacity of taking adequate actions.

1) Introduction to Forensic Medicine
2) Cause-effect relationship
3) Imputability and capacity to act
4) Murder, suicide, infanticide and related crimes
5) Beatings, personal injuries and related crimes
6) Professional secrecy (confidentiality)
7) Reporting of crimes to prosucutor’s office
8) Informed consent, compulsory medical treatments
9) Italian laws 194/1978 and 66/96
10) Fundamentals of professional liability
