Learning outcomes

Aims of the course are the knowledge female pelvic anatomy and pathophysiology of micturition. In this context the above knowledge allows the understanding of urinary continence mechanisms and the approach to the therapy of incontinence in the woman.
At the end of the course the student will be able to perform a correct diagnosis of urinary incontinence and to identify the correct therapeutic strategy from the pharmacological and the surgical point of view.

- female pelvic anatomy;
- physiopathologyof urinary micturition and urinary continence;
- urogynaecological evaluation;
- urodynamics;
- pharmacologic treatment of urinary incontinence;
- principles of perineal rehabilitation;
- principles of minimally invasive surgical
therapy
