Learning outcomes
To provide fundamental concepts about the application of innovative technologies, based on electromechanical and robotic devices for lower and upper limb, in clinical rehabilitation. To provide the principles of clinical application and use of movement analysis devices, to analyse spatio-temporal parameters, kinematics, kinetics and surface electromyography.
Program
1st part: Electromechanical Technologies fro rehabilitation (5h)
- Electromechanical and robotic devices for rehabilitation: definitions, clinical rationale, history and evolution
- examples of commercial devices and their use in daily clinical routine
2nd part: Technologies for movement analysis (5h)
- movement analysis: definitions, clinical rationale, history and evolution of movement analysis in clinical environment
- biomechanical measures of clinical interest, measuring methodologies
- clinical movement analysis of the lower and upper limb: analogies, differences and critical aspects
- examples and clinical case studies
