Learning outcomes

Examination of the main manifestations of acute and chronic-degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system with an in-depth analysis of the effects of lack of movement on the structures of the musculoskeletal system, identification of the rationale and modalities of the rehabilitative intervention, timely recognition of non-pertinent clinical pictures rehabilitation in view of the construction of an individual rehabilitation project and contextualized according to the biopsychosocial model

Program

Rehabilitation of osteoarticular diseases and bio-psycho-social model. Response of tissues to damage; clinical manifestations, evaluation and rehabilitative objectives of the inflammatory phase and of the pain in the acute phase. Deconditioning manifestations of the osteo-my-articular and ligament apparatus and rational of the rehabilitative intervention. Evaluation, rehabilitative and rational objectives of the rehabilitative intervention in the hypokinetic syndrome. Physical Therapy: physical characteristics, indications, contraindications and rational use of the main physical means in the pathologies of the musculoskeletal system. Use of assistive technologies: rational, methods and indications of use within the individual rehabilitation plan. Pathology of the spine: concepts of rehabilitative biomechanics, posture and joint stability, correlations between functional vertebra-disk unit and ergonomics of posture. Neck pain and spinal pathologies of the cervical spine: identification of the Red Flags; non-specific and rational neck pain of the rehabilitative intervention according to the evidence and guidelines. Etiopathogenesis, clinical pictures and rehabilitative intervention in Wiplash and in the Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS). Main clinical pictures of spinal-lumbar spinal pathology, identification of the red flags, prevention and rehabilitative treatment of vertebral fractures. Clinical manifestations, modalities and rationale of rehabilitative intervention in adult scoliosis. Simple mechanical LBP, clinical evaluation, biopsychosocial model; rationalization of the rehabilitation intervention according to the new international guidelines and the most recent evidence. Painful shoulder: rational and modality of the rehabilitative intervention in the subacromial conflict and tendinopathy of the rotator cuff; after acromionplastic surgery and rotator cuff suture. Rational and treatment modalities in post-traumatic shoulder instability and after capsuloplasty; rational and modality of the rehabilitative intervention in the traumatic pathology of the shoulder and after prosthetic replacement of the plastic capsule. Rational and modality of the rehabilitative intervention in the pathologies of the elbow. Rationalization of the rehabilitative intervention in the traumatic pathologies of the wrist. Clinical manifestations, diagnostic criteria and rehabilitative intervention in CRPS. Concepts of rehabilitation biomechanics in diseases of the lower limb; differential diagnosis, rational and modality of the rehabilitative intervention in the tendon pathologies of the lower limb and of the femur fractures. Rationalization of the rehabilitative intervention after hip and knee arthroplasty and Fast track model; rehabilitation treatment after ACL plastic surgery. Rational and modality of the rehabilitative intervention in the traumatic pathologies of ankle.
