Learning outcomes
Carry out clinical reasoning correctly based on ICF concepts of the cervical and lumbar vertebrae column pathologies.
Be able to chose the treatment technique most appropriate given a patient’s health status
Integrate and apply kinesiology knowledge when caring for/treating a patient.
Program
- ICF: the code, how to use it in clinical practice
- Manual Terapy techniques: how to modulate and choose the appropriate techniques based on the patient’s health status
- Physiopathology of connective tissue: healing phases and treatment techniques
- Neurodynamics: physiopathology of the peripheral nervous system – provocative tests and treatment techniques of the upper extremity and lower extremity.
- Cervical and lumbar radicular syndrome
- Concept of funtional instability: clinical reasoning and assessment: kinetic chains and muscular chains inserted in therapeutic exercise.
- Pain: definition and basic mechanisms. Difference between nociceptive pain, neuropathic pain, and pain from central sensitization
- Low Back pain and Neck Pain: definition, assessment, outcome measures and treatment of the cervical and lumbar areas
- Simulated clinical cases of the various pathologies discussed
