Learning objectives
The course is aimed at studying language learning, neural bases, congenital and acquired deficits of the same. It provides the introductory knowledge 3 to aspects of human language as a cognitive faculty, with particular attention to the levels of linguistic analysis. Theoretical bases for the study of phonetics and phonology and the operational tools for the evaluation and management of phonological disorders in the developmental age are provided. In addition, the methods of approach to the logopathic patient are indicated, how the data is collected, how to carry out observation, evaluation, budgeting and treatment planning. PHONETIC MODULE AND PHONOLOGY Training objectives: Provide the theoretical basis for the study of phonetics and phonology and the operational tools for the evaluation and management of phonological disorders in the Developmental Age. GLOTTOLOGY AND LINGUISTICS MODULE Training objectives: This course aims to provide some introductory knowledge related to the various aspects of human language, understood as the cognitive faculty of the species, and of natural languages, with particular attention to the levels of linguistic analysis. LOGOPEDICAL EVALUATION METHODOLOGY MODULE Training objectives: Teach students an approach towards the patient with logopathy, data collection, observation, evaluation, budgeting and treatment planning. ANATOMO MODULE-PHYSIOLOGY OF SOUND-ARTICULATORR ORGANS Formative objectives: To provide the student with the notions about anatomy and the functioning of the organs responsible for the production of voice, language, articulation and swallowing: oral cavity, pharynx, nasal cavity and resonance , larynx and respiratory system MODULE GENERAL PSYCHOLOGY Educational objectives: Neurobiological and neurophysiological correlates of human cognitive functions. Neuropsychological evidence of cognitive function deficits following focal brain injuries. SOCIOLINGUISTIC MODULE Training objectives: Students are provided with the basics of the sociological study of linguistic facts, which is based on the analysis of the interrelations between organization and functioning of human society and of verbal language.
