The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Learning objectives
The course introduces the student to the understanding of the principles and criteria to which he must be inspired in his actions towards the user, the colleagues of the organization and the professional community; he focuses on the development of an ethical and deontological knowledge base that they base the principles of a responsible profession, coherent with the current problems to be faced and in respect of the values of deontology which are the foundation of care relationships. BIOETHICAL MODULE: Describe and recognize the reasons behind the birth of bioethics, the main approaches to ethics, with particular reference to the four principles of biomedical ethics for taking decisions in the conflict / ethical dilemma. To acquire the tools for the recognition of the main ethical problems within the care contexts, both in the most exposed areas (beginning of life, end of life) and in the most usual situations (bioethics of everyday life). To apply to mechanisms and cases of care practice the mechanisms that allow to guide the conduct of professionals in the face of complex bioethical issues and ethical guidelines and to discuss choices in the respect and application of the principles of Bioethics. MODULE DEONTOLOGY AND REGULATION OF PROFESSIONAL EXERCISE: Recognizing the deontological and normative references of professional nursing action. Describe the deontological principles that are at the base of professional action. Analyze care situations and identify behavioral choices consistent with the principles: dignity, confidentiality, will and choice of the assisted person. Applying ethical-deontological guidelines to situations in the practice of care. MODULE FOR LEGAL MEDICINE: The course aims to provide students with the legal medical knowledge essential to the profession of nurse, with particular regard to issues related to the consent to the medical act and to informing the Judicial Authority
