Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
Il corso si propone di rendere gli studenti in grado di orientarsi all’interno del complesso ed eterogeneo mondo dei servizi sociali, fornendo strumenti e criteri di analisi volti a sviluppare consapevolezza e competenza sul funzionamento e l’organizzazione dei servizi.
Program
L’insegnamento offrirà una panoramica sul welfare e la storia e le trasformazioni dei servizi sociali in Italia, trattando in dettaglio le diverse tipologie di servizi alla persona: per bambini, adolescenti e famiglie, per gli anziani, per la disabilità, a contrasto di povertà ed esclusione sociale, per la salute mentale, per la tossicodipendenza.
In particolare, il corso si articolerà nel seguente modo:
1) I servizi sociali in Italia: storia, trasformazione e modelli emergenti
- i diversi modelli di welfare state e il caso italiano
- l’evoluzione delle politiche e dei servizi sociali
- il terzo settore e le politiche sociali
2) La rete dei servizi per bambini, adolescenti e famiglie
- la conciliazione dei tempi di cura e di lavoro
- servizi in risposta alle esigenze quotidiane (nidi, scuole di infanzia, interventi a sostegno della genitorialità)
- servizi in risposta a situazioni complesse di disagio sociale (comunità di accoglienza, affido, adozione, sostegni economici e psicologici)
3) La rete dei servizi per gli anziani
- l’invecchiamento della popolazione e i nuovi bisogni
- “Aging in place” e servizi di tipo domiciliare (assistenza domiciliare, assistenza domiciliare integrata, assegni di cura).
- servizi semi-residenziali e residenziali (centri diurni, case protette, residenze sanitarie assistenziali)
4) La rete dei servizi per la “disabilità”
- il concetto di “disabilità”
- inserimento scolastico
- inserimento lavorativo
- servizi per la disabilità grave
5) La rete dei servizi a contrasto di povertà ed esclusione sociale
- la povertà come problema sociale
- aree di intervento: sostegno economico, accoglienza abitativa, fornitura di beni di prima necessità, lavoro, promozione e riduzione del danno.
6) La rete dei servizi per la salute mentale
- la riforma psichiatrica
- servizi di cura, prevenzione e riabilitazione
7) La rete dei servizi per la tossicodipendenza
- servizi di prevenzione e cura
- interventi di riduzione del danno
