The topics covered concern:
- the concept of health, mental health, health promotion and quality of life. WHO data analysis.
- the WHO classification of disability, recovery process and concept of chronicity
- the concept of diagnosis, prognosis and rehabilitation: historical, theoretical and applicative aspects (mention of the therapeutic rehabilitation project)
- the subjects of rehabilitation (patient, network, family etc.) Analysis of data from the SISM mental health report, Ministry of Health. Mention of the organization of psychiatric and related services and the importance of integration between services
- the skills of the professionals who work in mental health
- the rehabilitation models (Social Skills Training models, the enhancement of socially competent behavior model, Ciompi's model, Falloon's psychoeducational model, systemic model, psychodynamic model, integrated model
- I and II level rehabilitation activities
Bibliography
Didactic methods
The course will deal with the topics with frontal lessons. Group discussion will be encouraged.
Learning assessment procedures
Oral examination. The aim is to ascertain the achievement of the training objectives of the course.
Evaluation criteria
Knowledge of the concepts covered in the classroom. Ability to explain clearly in technical language. Ability to connect topics to each other.
