Briely, the objectives of this course: transmit clear ideas about the most frequent and important pathological conditions in the mouth and being able to suspect presence of early malignant lesions i.e. distinguish ordinary features of periodontopathology from conditions which need further specialistic evaluation. Synthesis of program: oral anatomy general and specific pathology of the oral cavity and perioral regions mucosal lesions, osseous lesions, parodontal lesions clinical radiological aspects of the most common and important pathologies Program: Oral anatomy (tooth-periodontium; oral mucosa; bone tissue of jaws) General pathology (abscesses, phlegmons, cysts, tumors) Clinical overview of the various types of lesions: vesiculo-bullous, ulcerative, white, red-blue, pigmentous,verrucal papillary. Inflammatory and non inflammatory swellings : gingival, buccal floor, lips, buccal mucosa, palatal, neck Cystic lesions: of jaws and of oral soft tissues Tumoral lesions: odontogenic and non odontogenic Oral manifestations in sistemical diseases Radiological aspects of parodontal lesions and most common osseous lesions
