Learning outcomes

Learning of cardiovascular pathophysiology of heart disease acquired before and after intervention cardichirugico. Learning of the principles of the surgical technique for the correction of acquired heart diseases. Learning the techniques of extracorporeal perfusion during cardiovascular surgery.

1. chronic ischemic heart disease: angina pectoris: definition, characteristics of anginal pain, classification. Clinical indications and anatomical procedures of myocardial revascularization surgery.
2. Acute Coronary Syndromes: Acute coronary syndromes with and without ST-segment sopralivellamento: definitions: profiles of Natural History.
3. Unstable angina and acute myocardial infarction without ST-segment sopralivellamento: definition, classification, medical treatment, indications for myocardial revascularization ..
4. Infective endocarditis: definition, pathogenesis, predisposing factors, infectious agents, clinical symptoms and signs. Laboratory Tests: blood cultures, echocardiography, scintigraphy with labeled leukocytes. Diagnostic criteria; Natural history and complications. Medical therapy. Surgical therapy: signs and strategies.

13. Aortic Aneurysm: Definition; classification; Medical therapy, cardiac surgical therapy.
14. Aortic dissection: Definition; classification: Type A and B, Type I, II, III; pathogenesis and risk factors; clinical picture, chest X-ray; TAC, transthoracic and transesophageal ultrasound. Medical and surgical therapy.
