Program
The third year laboratory aims to deep some topics covered in the lectures, in particular the role of PD-L1 as a biomarker in NSCLC (Non Small Cell Lung Cancer).
The introduction of immunotherapy among cancer treatments for patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and the immunohistochemical test to evaluate the expression of PD-L1 based on the selection of patients to be assigned to anti-PD1 drugs / anti-PD-L1 has substantially modified the diagnostic-therapeutic algorithm in this neoplastic form. As regards the diagnostic framework, it is essential that the tumor is well characterized both from a morphological / immunophenotypic and molecular profile.
It is also planned to deep the reading of the pap test with the vision of some preparations prepared with conventional smear and with a thin layer method (Thin Prep) and colored according to the Papanicolau coloring.
