Learning outcomes

MM: BIOCHIMICA E CHIMICA DELL'INQUINAMENTO AMBIENTALE
The course aims to acquaint the student of biochemistry and chemistry of environmental pollution: 1) specific terminology used 2) the mechanisms of pollution and depollution 3) the reasons for which man pollutes 4) the effects and the costs of pollution 5) the direct and indirect techniques of analysis of air, water and soil pollutants

MM: METODOLOGIA DIAGNOSTICA MOLECOLARE
The course aims to make students understand the role of genetic testing in the clinical course of the patient. The course also aims to provide students who have no medical training the basic knowledge on the clinical aspects concerning the genetic basis of diseases. The course aims to provide an updated view of molecular biology techniques that are used in a clinical setting.

MM: METODI E TECNICHE DI GENETICA E BIOLOGIA MOLECOLARE
The training objective is to provide adequate knowledge of the theoretical principles and application of the techniques for detection of genetic alterations, in a functional framework considering the main diseases related to alterations of genes, including cancer.

MM: BIOTECNOLOGIE RICOMBINANTI
The course aims to make students understand the basic stages of the birth of modern biotechnologies and the current applications of recombinant biotechnology in biomedical and pharmaceutical fields. We will discuss issues of a scientific, ethical and biological nature. The course also aims to provide an updated view of recombinant techniques including techniques for reproductive and therapeutic cloning, technic for the reproduction of recombinant drugs.

MM: BIOLOGIA MOLECOLARE
The course aims to make students understand the role of genetic testing in the clinical course of the patient. The course also aims to provide an updated view of molecular biology techniques that are used in different clinical settings including prenatal diagnosis of genetic and chromosomal disorders, diagnosis of mendelian and oncoematologic diseases, infertility and pharmacogenetics.
