Learning objectives
This course aims to propose a harmonized approach to the issue of quality control in Mammography. Mammography: indications and examination technique. Mammography: standard projections and additional projections. Analog and digital mammography (direct and indirect). Breast ultrasound. MRI of the breast. Tomosynthesis mammography. MAMMOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT AND QUALITY CONTROL The course consist of comprehensive didactic review of quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) (measures and guidelines), that must be practiced in all mammography facilities, in order to assure the most accurate diagnoses for all patients. BREAST IMAGING Mammography: indications and technical examination. Mammography: standard views and additional views. Analogic and digital mammography (direct and indirect). Breast ultrasound. MRI of the breast. Tomosynthesis. MAMMOGRAPHIC POSITIONING AND SCREENING Creation of a healthcare practitioner caring to the patient's Needs, capable of operating in Senology with image quality and radioprotection goals.
