Learn the functions of an Hospital Information System (HIS) and clinical data management.
Peculiarities of the complex Radiology field.
Program
Information Systems and information flows. The ospital enterprise.
Digital signature and conservation of signed documents.
Personal data handling and data security. Holder, Responsible, Appointee of data handling.
Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
Changing Radiology: filmless and paperless.
Integration of clinical information systems: HL7 and DICOM standards.
IHE profiles and Tachincal Framework.
XDS profile: registry and repository in enterprises.
Radiological system administrator. "Bologna" case.
Telemedicine and regional projects in Veneto. Regional Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Lectures include the use of slides of the teaching material. Students are then asked to discuss the application of the contents to real cases detected in Radiology, evaluating hospital consequences and repercussions.
Examination Methods
Written exam with open questions and optional oral exam.
Questions have two purposes:
- evaluate the learning of basic subjects
- evaluate the understanding of the topics in a complex health context, where the IT actions performed in Radiology have repercussions on other hospital information systems.
