Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student should know the relationship between environment and human health, the main features of the environment, as a determinant of health, the main factors that influence the quality of the environment (air and water) and the main pollutants that represent a risk for human health, the mode of occurrence of a disease related to the environment; the student must also be able to describe the main epidemiological characteristics of environment-related diseases and prevention strategies.
