Learning outcomes

The module proposes the acquisition by the students of the methods of analysis, estimation and risk assessment, highlighting critical issues and knowledge regarding the fulfillment of the risk assessment and its specific chapters.
At the end of the teaching module the student must have acquired the specific knowledge on how to carry out the assessment of risks from physical agents, in particular with regard to the microclimate in the workplace. He must be able to apply the principles and methods taking into account the indications deriving from Annexes IV and VIII of Legislative Decree 81/08 and subsequent amendments. as well as the methods provided by the standards of good technique (UNI EN). In-depth studies concern the harsh environments, the instrumentation to be used, the study of specific cases, the analysis of the causes that led to problems and possible solutions.

UNI EN ISO standards for the determination of thermal well-being indexes;
Method of carrying out the assessment; indexes and benchmarks;
Characteristics of the instrumentation used and reference legislation;
Severe hot environments, severe colds and other methodologies;
Localized thermal discomfort;
Case studies and analysis of the problems related to the severe environments; procedures for the correct classification of environments, collective protection devices against heat / cold stress;
Measurements and environmental assessments.
