Learning outcomes

The course aims to provide knowledge concerning different medical aspects related to mountain and high altitude, with particular regard to phisiological mechanisms of the adaptation to high altitude.

Program

Characteristics of mountain environment. Elements of first aid in mountain. Methodological approach to the injured subject in mountain. Altitude sickness and complications. Risk factors. Adaptation mechanisms.
