Learning outcomes

The course allows to acquire the main techniques used to analyze and improve the performance and its determinants through laboratory and field tools. It permits to know, to plan and apply training models in different situations, including relationship to single and multidisciplinary disciplines. It allows the preparation and interpretation of descriptive reports about performance characteristics of athletes

Program

During the classes there will be the chance to analyse case studies of athletes involved in different performances outdoor-related such as the ones listed below.
Human locomotion Lab at CeRiSM – Rovereto: testing assessment of a trail or sky-running athlete (in lab, and probably on field)
Human locomotion Lab at CeRiSM – Rovereto: testing assessment of a XC-cycling athlete (in lab, and probably on field)
Human locomotion Lab at CeRiSM – Rovereto: testing assessment of a XC-skiing and/or a ski-mountaineering athlete (in lab, and probably on field)

Climatic Lab at CeRiSM – Rovereto: testing assessment needs to take into account also climatic stressors (test in heat or cold environment and the effects on performance)
There can be the chance to do some testing experiences also on filed.
Before each class there it will be proposed an introduction and a discussion based on what reported in the scientific literature on the different topic, with the aim to provide to the students a methodology to approach and solve the problems (the request to test and train athletes competing in outdoor performances).
