Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the students will know well the history of the western legal tradition and of the sources of that tradition, from the specific point of view of public law and feudal law.
Program
Contents:
The course's purpose is to investigate the history of the feudal law in the western legal tradition (very important for the history of public and constitutional law), and particularly in the doctrine of 'ius commune' and in its sources (the "Glossa ordinaria").
Teaching Methods:
Lectures, class discussions, debates (informal) on current issues by students from class, student reports by individuals and groups.
