Learning outcomes
Students will be given an overview of the categories of ancient Greek metres, with particular emphasis on the relationship between lyric metres and literary genres.
Program
Theoretical basis; translation and metrical commentary of examples taken from Homer, the lyrics and the dramatists.
Educational material will be provided by the teacher.

Examination Methods
Analysis essay of a lyric passage.
Students are required to attend at least 2/3 of class sessions.
