The Study Plan includes all modules, teaching and learning activities that each student will need to undertake during their time at the University. Please select your Study Plan based on your enrolment year.
The main purpose of the course is to provide the student with the basic Knowledge of the main mechanisms of molecular and cellular injury and the basic reactions of cells and tissues to the abnormal stimuli that underlie diseases, knowledge required for the comprehension of the bio-medical methodologies utilized in tumor biology and diagnosis, acquisition of the general knowledge of the fundamental biological mechanisms regulating the immune system functions, knowledge of the immune laboratory techniques, knowledge of the mechanisms responsible for the main alterations of the homeostatic systems, functional consequences on various organs and systems, describe the compensation mechanisms that are activated as a result of these changes and how they may themselves be the pathophysiological mechanisms of disease. The course shall introduce evidences that pathology represents the basis for most of the laboratory test used for the diagnosis of human diseases.
The syllabus of this multidisciplinaty course is a compendium of the specific topics includied in the individual courses of Pathology, Pathophysiology, Tumors and Immunology.
