Learning objectives
Providing the basic notions related to the clinical-legal aspects of the orthopedic technician profession. Main notions on the hygienic practices that need to be respected in the professional activity. Bioethical responsibilities in health professions. Examining the current legislation on safety, health and protection in the workplace, job-related pathologies and their prevention, reviewing of job-related risks within the healthcare environment. Main notions of general psychology applied to the professional activity. EMPLOYMENT LAW: The objective is to allow students to know and understand the essential legal and medico-legal elements regulating the professional activity of the orthopedic technician. The aim is to provide students with the ability to implement the knowledge acquired to assess their own professional activity in the legal-normative therms, with specific reference to the effects in the criminal, civil and deontological fields, and to recognize any critical issues. GENERAL PSYCHOLOGY: Highlighting the main theoretical assumptions of the various cognitive abilities to explain the mechanisms by which human beings adapt and react to the external environment. OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE: the objective is to provide students with a solid knowledge of current legislation on health and safety protection in the workplace and the ability to use the acquired knowledge and understanding to identify job-related risks in work environments.
