Learning objectives

Learning outcomes and skills to be acquired are transversal to Nursery and Primary School.
1. Knowledge and understanding
At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand oral and written texts related to topics linked to the teaching profession in English (Level B2 CEFR)
2. Applied knowledge and understanding
At the end of the course, the student will have acquired: the ability to apply the understanding of the topics dealt with in English (Level B2 CEFR) to contexts related to the teaching profession
3. Independent critical thinking
At the end of the course the student will have developed: critical thinking skills with reference to the topics dealt with in English (Level B2 CEFR) to be applied in contexts related to the teaching profession
4. Communication skills
At the end of the course the student will be able to: use the English language to orally report, to interact and to produce short written texts on the covered topics (level B2 CEFR)
5. Learning skills
At the end of the course the student will have developed: skills and strategies for the comprehension of oral and written texts related to topics linked to the teaching profession in English (level B2 CEFR)

Prerequisites and basic notions

Attendance of "Laboratorio di lingua inglese per la professionalità docente".

Introduction to the European School Education Platform;
eTwinning: the Community for schools in Europe;
Best practices in Italy and in Europe;
Using Apps for international projects;
Setting up a project I (introduction of partners, orientation activities, communication)
Setting up a project II (collaboration, evaluation & assessment, follow-up).

Didactic methods

Online synchronous workshop, case analysis, individual and group training, group simulations, group presentations and feedback by teachers.

Learning assessment procedures

Portfolio of the activities submitted by students and validated by the teacher.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

Evaluation criteria

Assessments involve attendance in classes, active participation in the activities and submission of the Portfolio.

Criteria for the composition of the final grade

Grades expressed in thirtieths. The final grade is obtained from the average of the Laboratorio di Didattica della Lingua Inglese and Laboratorio eTwinning.

Exam language

Inglese
