Learning objectives
The third year laboratories aim to help students to acquire basic obstetric care skills and midwifery management in simulation contexts.
Prerequisites and basic notions
Theoretical prerequisites of the topics covered by the simulations and previously covered in the classes.
Program
Physical examination with external maneuvers (Leopold's maneuvers) and internal maneuvers (vaginal examination).
Assistance provided during eutocic delivery (second and third stages of labor).
Didactic methods
Simulation exercise in small groups (max 4-5 students)
Learning assessment procedures
Not provided.
Knowledge of theoretical prerequisites and active partecipation in simulations are required in order to be qualified.
