Program
Students will learn on the issues related to stem cells, i.e. those cells that have the unique ability to self-renew and differentiate into a vast range of more specialized cells. Furthermore, the therapies based on engineered lymphocytes, which were initially developed for the treatment of haematological malignancies, will be explored. The first cell therapy approved in Italy by AIFA in August 2019 was the one with CAR-T called tisagenlecleucel, indicated for patients with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, which can now be prescribed, with other similar compounds, at the Centers specialists selected by the Regions.
