CARDIOVASCULAR PHYSIOLOGY
Blood, heart, and circulatory system, cardiac electrophysiology, flow, pressures, and resistances, cardiac pump, peripheral circulation
RESPIRATORY PHYSIOLOGY
Structure and function of the respiratory system, respiratory mechanics, oxygen and carbon dioxide transport, control of breathing
RENAL PHYSIOLOGY
Overview, glomerular filtration and renal clearance, renal transport processes, urine concentration, regulation of extracellular fluid volume and osmolality, regulation of acid-base balance

Didactic methods
Lectures will include PowerPoint presentations. Video animations will also be used to facilitate the understanding of complex processes. The video animations are provided in the teaching materials.
Learning assessment procedures
A verification test will be conducted in written form, either multiple-choice or open-ended.
This test will cover all the topics included in/completed within the syllabi of the modules that comprise the course.
Evaluation criteria
The assessment of the entire course is based on the weighted average of the results of the module tests, expressed on a scale of thirty.
