Learning objectives

The module Management control aims to lead the student to be able to design and manage an advanced management control system that knows how to combine, in an integrated model, the more traditional economic-financial measures with the latest KPIs generation aimed at measuring the commitment and ESG performance of companies, starting from the processes of sustainability, also through the discussion of case studies and operational tools.

The module Supply Chain Finance aims to guide students to analyse the corporate financial policies, that is, those policies related to the mix of liabilities, contractual arrangements for funding, and how to manage the financial risk. The traditional corporate finance models will be reconducted to specific firm problems and from a broader view in a supply chain context. At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand the key mechanisms underlying corporate financial choices and financial risk management also from a supply chain perspective.

All the material covered in the program will be subject to examination, not just the contents presented during the lectures.

The assessment (for the Supply Chain Finance) is based on the verification of knowledge and skills relating to the topics being studied, considering both the theoretical and conceptual aspects. The final evaluation is expressed in 30/30.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

Evaluation criteria

The criteria (for the Management control module) for evaluation will be the following: ability to connect theoretical principles with real-life cases; ability to use technical language specific to management control and performance management; critical ability to solve a business problem related to the topics of this course.

Module Supply Chain Finance: written exam. The written exam consists of the answer to open questions related to theoretical contents of the study program and practical exercises for applying tools described in the course’s program.
