Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
The objective of the course is to analyze and to take a closer look at the issues arising out cases having an international element, at the functioning of national, european and international private international law rules in force in Italy, as well as at the fundamental concepts and connecting factors relating to this field.
Program
The course will cover the relevant legal sources, provide the students with the basic elements to be able to grasp problems arising out cases having an international element and to understand how the private international law rules need to be applied. In this regard particular attention will be devoted to the concepts of characterization, renvoi, mandatory rules, public policy and to the application and interpretation of foreign law. The various connecting factors and grounds of jurisdiction will also be the subject of a thorough analysis. When dealing with the aforementioned matters, the so called communitarization of private international law will be taken into account.
A part of this course will be specially devoted to the analysis of the Brussels I (Recast) Regulation and to the Rome I Regulation.

Internships are aimed at enabling students to gain direct knowledge of the world of work and to acquire specific professional skills.
Internships are carried out under the responsibility of an individual lecturer, and can be carried out in professional firms, public administration bodies and companies recognised by the University of Verona.
Any CFU credits gained by doing internships will be recognised and recorded by the University in accordance with the relevant University regulations in force (Regolamento d’Ateneo per il riconoscimento dei crediti maturati negli stage universitari).
