Learning objectives
The course aims at providing an in-depth understanding of the Italian Law of Successions and of its connections with other fields of the Italian Private Law. Through a case analysis discussion based on relevant and/or recent jurisprudence and through a careful understanding of the (juridical and not) rationale of the rules at stake, the course aims at proving students with an in-depth critical knowledge of the main interpretative and operative issues that this field triggers vis-à-vis other Private Law areas. Students shall acquire the ability to analyse complex legal issues, as well as to autonomously formulate judgements and arguments on a thorough level and to critically adapt them to the changes in the context, in order to be able to face the challenges that the legal professions pose in a European and international dimension.
