Learning outcomes
Students should have already acquired from high school, familiarity with the following topics: The Earth as a planet (shape, size and movement). The representation of the surface of the earth (Maps, scale reduction, projections, cartographic products). The atmosphere (composition, division, characteristics) and climate and its elements (solar radiation and temperature, pressure and atmospheric circulation, humidity and precipitation), variations (factors) and classification of climates. The hydrosphere (seas and oceans, movement of the seas, inland waters). The lithosphere (distribution of land masses and oceans, the theory of plate tectonics, large topographic structures, volcanoes and earthquakes.) These basic skills are part of the study syllabus, addressed at achieving an adequate preparation for the education field (teaching).

To review the "prerequisites" it is recommended, in addition to consulting an Atlas, a good manual on Earth Sciences. LUPIA PALMIERI E., Il globo terrestre e la sua evoluzione, Bologna, Zanichelli, 2000 is suggested to anyone who has not yet studied the basic elements of physical geography.
Examination Methods
Exam : Oral exam. For students who attend lessons there will be a written learning process check test on the basic knowledge of physical geography and cartography.
