Learning outcomes
The course aims at providing examples of the contribution modern and contemporary philosophy has made to the understanding of the functioning of language, and the relation between language, material reality and social reality.
At the end of the course, students:
KNOWLEDGE:
- will possess a wider knowledge of the main conceptual lines of Western philosophical tradition;
ABILITIES:
- will be able to comprehend philosophical texts, to set them in their proper critical context, and to interpret them;
- will use a correct philosophical terminology;
- will be able to autonomously form judgements on the subjects dealt with in the course;
- will develop the capacity to communicate philosophical contents to specialists and non-specialists alike;
- will be capable to continue their studies at a MA level.

Examination Methods
Per superare l’esame gli studenti dovranno dimostrare di:
a) possedere una sufficiente padronanza dei temi, degli strumenti concettuali, dei percorsi riflessivi presentati dai testi in bibliografia d’esame; b) possedere la capacità di ripercorrere e rielaborare in maniera sufficientemente rigorosa e soggettivata i testi in bibliografia d’esame.
Per tutti gli studenti la prova d'esame consisterà in un esame orale che verterà sull’intero programma e che esprimerà la valutazione dell’apprendimento con votazione in trentesimi. In alternativa all'esame orale gli studenti potranno produrre, previo colloquio con il docente, un elaborato scritto che verrà discusso durante il colloquio orale.
Considerata la peculiare situazione dell'erogazione della didattica gli studenti sono invitati a venire a ricevimento dal docente per un breve colloquio di orientamento all'esame.
Il ricevimento potrà avvenire in studio o su Zoom/Skype. Gli studenti possono contattare il docente via mail per concordare un appuntamento.
