Learning outcomes

The course aims to develop and consolidate their understanding of the pragmatic and multimodal aspects of the promotional text in English, with special focus on the varieties of tourism and commerce. At the end of the course the students should be able to demonstrate a competent use of the tools for analysis of the descriptive and persuasive texts in English.
A C1 competence is required for the exam.

Examination Methods

The exam consists of an online test (QUIZ, moodle platform) in English (closed-ended questions and semi-open questions) about the topics of the syllabus and the lessons of the course (Moodle platform).
C1 competence level certificate is a prerequisite. Other prerequisites: English Language 1, English Language 2, English Literature 2 (or equivalent). Please make reference to the moodle platform and the lessons for further details.
