Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student must prove to:

1) know the principles of Russian morphology and syntax, the lexicon, and microlanguage of tourism and commerce;
2) be able to apply them to the comprehension of complex written and oral texts and in professional comunication;
3) possess language skills of C1 level according to the CEFR definition.

Program

Course delivery mode: synchronous face-to-face learning with Zoom.

The course consists of the following modules:

1. MORPHO-SYNTAX
1.1. Aspects: formation and use
1.2. Case: use and arguments
1.3. Negative and indefinite pronouns
1.4. The independent clause: impersonal constructions
1.5. The dependent clause: temporal, causal and final clauses; conditional clauses; direct and indirect speech

2. TRANSLATION
Reading, translation, and analysis of different types of text; particular attention will be given to touristic and commercial texts.

Examination Methods

WRITTEN + ORAL

PREREQUISITES: students can take the exam only if
– they have acquired the С1 language certificate;
– they have passed the exams “Русский язык 2” and “Русская культура и литература 2”.

NB: The programme is the same for attending and non-attending students
