Module: MEDICINA SOCIALE ED IGIENE

According to the definition of the or.M.S., health can be defined as a state of suit physical, psychic and social comfort. The hygiene and the social medicine have the purpose to individualize the causes and the factors of illness and to put the half profits to their removal of the causes promoting the expansion of the state of health into effect, with a look also to the organization of the servizisanitaris. Fundamental, to this respect, it is the epidemiological search that, through the study of the distribution of the illnesses, it allows to individualize its causes, to plan the methods of prevention, to organize the interventions and to check its effectiveness. Insofar the course will articulate in three forms:
- study of the epidemiological profiles of the most important infectious and chronic-degenerative illnesses;
- study of the problems and the techniques of prevention of the principal infectious and chronic-degenerative illnesses of great social importance;
- organizational formality of the sanitary services.

To know and to apply the clinical skills required for building and maintaining an efficacious working alliance with clients and their family members.


Module: PSICHIATRIA

The course of Psychiatry has the objective to give psychopatology’s base knowledges to the students, with particular attention to the pathologies that mostly absorb the Services for the Mental Health. Part of the course will also consider the historical, legal and of organizational aspects of the socio-sanitary services that concern the psychiatric area. At the end of the course, integrated by the presentation and discussion of clinical cases, the student is able to know: to) the Psychiatry intervention areas; b) what are and how are classified the mental disorders; c) which are the possible causes of the mental disorders; which are the more effective therapeutic-riabilitative and social interventions and d) how the Departments for the Mental Health are constituted and how do they work.

Module: MEDICINA SOCIALE ED IGIENE

- Collectivity and health: the assignments of the hygiene;
- Epidemiological models of appearance of the illnesses: the concept of cause and factor of risk;
- The primary, secondary and tertiary prevention;
- Infectious illnesses. General epidemiology with particular emphasis to the transmission illnesses directed (sexual and vertical), to the illnesses of food origin and those of importation;
- Prevention of the infectious illnesses. Principles of disinfection and sterilization. The vaccinations;
- Chronic-degenerative illnesses. The approach to the epidemiological knowledges and the measures of prevention concerning the following pathologies: cardiopatie ischemiche; diabetes; crab of the lung, of the breast, of the portio, of the big bowel;
- Hygienic-sanitary aspects of the foods;
- History of the birth of the sanitary systems;
- Organization of the National Sanitary Service.

Module: PSICOLOGIA CLINICA

1) Introduction to the client-centred communicative approach in provider-client relationships.
2) Characteristics of “ difficult” provider-client relationships.
3) Communication strategies to build working alliance and repair alliance ruptures.
4) The burn out phenomenon and how to take care of oneself.
5) Analysis of critical professional encounters (critical incidents) and elaboration of helpful intervention strategies (Small interactive group work with brainstorming, simulation and role play).
