Learning outcomes

The course is aimed at offering the methodological tools for the analysis of dramatic texts, with regard both to their relationship with other literary genres and their specific performative purpose.

Program

The course is aimed at analyzing the presence of dystopian imagery and the nightmare of a dehumanized future in twentieth century theatre, with particular regard to the plays of Čapek, Grau, Bontempelli, Vasari, Majakovskij, Bradbury, Tardieu.
