Learning outcomes

Provide the students with the tools to analize the mechanisms by which the newspapers contribute to the formation of the public opinion in an historical perspective

Program

Requirements in advance: Good knowledge of Italian language (reading and listening). Elementary knowledge of Early Modern and Modern European History

Course description:
- The newspapers from the origins to Internet: development of journalism, primarily in Italy, with attention to the economic, social and political forces which contributed to change the journalistic techniques, the profession of journalist and the newspaper functions
