Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the students will be able to: Recognize and classify the main groups of plants, interpreting their main structures and differences as the result of the evolution; recognize the various plant organs, interpreting their macroscopic and microscopic structure as the result of a process of development and differentiation; understand the differences between the various reproductive strategies of plants, describing them from the evolutionary point of view; apply the acquired knowledge to plant improvement processes through biotechnological approaches; be able to look for reliable sources for the deepening of the various topics; acquire an appropriate language.
