Program

The course will focus on the improvement of the four linguistics abilities (reading, writing, listening, speaking) for scientific use. In particular, the following activities will be carried out:

- reading comprehension of scientific texts;
- listening comprehension of scientific speech/interaction;
- writing of scientific texts;
- spoken scientific presentations;
- introduction to Dentistry specialised lexicon;
- grammar revision according to students' needs.

Examination Methods

The exam will focus on the topics studied in class, and will consist in a written test (multiple-choice and open questions) aimed at assessing lexical competence, reading and listening comprehension and writing skills, followed by an interview focused on presentation and communication skills.
