Learning outcomes

The course aims to describe up-to-date guidelines infixed and removable prostheses. Knowledge about examination and analysis of stomatognathic system in terms of bone, dental, occlusal and temporomandibular junctions are provided. The course highlights correlation between diagnostic radiographic and instrumental use of the facial patterns in articular models and their use. Students are provided with the knowledge about anatomy of edentulous mouth, physiology of bone atrophy process and the resulting structural changes of the supportive dentoalveolar apparatus. On top of this, students will be given the necessary information to design and develop removable dentures along with the basic knowledge of removable partial denture; upon completion of the course (students will be provided with) the prosthetic treatment and the basic guidelines for developing fixed prosthesis on natural teeth.
