Learning outcomes

1) The course aims at a study of the methods and fundamental issues of Logic and Philosophy of Science, related to health care professions
2) The related goal is the application of logic and scientific method to clinical reasoning in rehabilitation therapy

1) Epistemology of Health care Sciences
2) Ancient Logic (Philosophers from Elea, Sophists, Aristotle, Stoicism), Medieval Logic (ontological arguments), Modern Logic (I. Kant )
3) Methods: induction (F. Bacon), deduction (G. Galilei)
4) Contemporary Logic (A. Turing, K. Popper, T. S. Kuhn)
5) Formal Logic (fallacies, hypothesis, probability)
